GEORGE NADER Black and white publicity photograph of George Nader holding a wood walking stick in a suit and tie. Photograph inscribed and signed: "For David/George Nader". Nader got his start at the Pasadena Playhouse before going on to play rugged, often bare-chested roles in the 1950s, including a notable performance as Lt. Dave MacDougall in 1956's Away All Boats. He moved to low-budget European films in the 1960s ; his character FBI agent Jerry Cotton was popular in Germany for several years. Nader, a gay man who had a relationship with Rock Hudson's secretary, Mark Miller, until Nader's death, also wrote a science-fiction novel in 1978, Chrome, about gay robots.
